Country Walk

We can ask no greater joy than to pass gently through this place that has been given to us, and make something out of it. Not necessarily to fully understand it, for that might be an impossible task, but to honour it in our own way.

Moondance

Well, its a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
‘neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
.

Thank you so much.

these are wonderful joyful pieces in two contrasting moods. I love the country walk. your watercolors style is so beautiful, free and also very controlled and the long shadows create such drama

  • Janis Zroback replied

I painted it and a few others, to illustrate an article in my writing pages called Personal Connections on Plein Air painting….I’m glad you like it…thank you so much.. :))

getting there Janis thank you ..second round of antibiotics to get rid of ear infection..fingers crossed!

  • Janis Zroback replied

Ear infections can take a long time to clear up…I know how painful and distressing they can be, and sometimes the antibioitics don’t seem to work…I had one in 2004 and I hope I never get another…sometimes it means just a lot of rest and fluids….

thanks Janis…I am getting worried already last tablet today, work tomorrow… and it is still not right..seeing an ENT specialist on Monday…never had one before and did not realise how painful they can be..good to hear you can get over them tho! :-D …thanks again.

  • Janis Zroback replied

I don’t want to scare you, but it took about three months, which is apparently quite normal…I had to go to an ENT as well and was sent for an MRI…my GP, however said antibiotics don’t often work and had me use the OTC remedy OTRIVIN nasal pump spray with added moisturizers, and believe it or not it really helped…I thought I was going mad with the pain and deafness…I still have residual popping from time to time..five years later

thanks Janis will look into the nasal spray as sinuses are a prob. too! wonder if they have that here…what a pair we are…:-D

  • Janis Zroback replied

There is some cortisone sprays called Flonase and Nasacort…I prefer the latter…they are for sinus and they are FANTASTIC…Nasacort are prescription sprays…Otrivin ....which is a decongestant, and which I cannot live without, ever, can be bought OTC…print off the pages and ask at your druggist…they may have them under another name

  • Janis Zroback replied

    New link for Nasacort

  • Linda Callaghan

    Linda Callaghan

thank you so much Janis for your help and advice…you are so kind…I went into the chemist today before I read the above and she gave me Beconase for allergies and also Narium..a natural nasal mist…..but will look up the above as I do not think they are going to help…thanks again I do appreciate your time…I just want to get rid of it.

  • Janis Zroback replied

Beconase has been around a very long time and I think it still works, but you have to start long before allergy season starts to get the benefit…the ones I recommended are to relieve the pressure and pain and in the case of Flonase or my favourite Nasacort to actually help cure the inflammation…Otrivin helps with the symptoms…Narium seems to help with them too, but I don’t think it shrinks the membranes….I hope you will be able to get some relief soon…
