Delicious Cherry Blossoms

Delicious Cherry Blossoms

Hot from the oven oozing cherry goodness, these pastries are soooo delicious..like their relatives the Apple and the Plum blossom, serve them warm with whipped or pouring cream, or even ice cream..I like them best with cream poured into the top where it mingles with the sticky fruit and runs down the sides…if you don’t want to make the cases from scratch, these are easily made with store bought pastry and cherry preserves…bake on parchment until golden…eat...

Food painting is tricky…you want a nice marriage between painting and reality…it’s got to be juicy and appetizing but yet not like a photo, still painterly…it must provke the viewers appetite or make them think of good things…lots to think about in other words…thanks so much Mui-Ling…
