It is actually a front door, as I described in the writing attached, but I guess it could well be an old cupboard door …thanks for putting that idea in my head…I will probably do a cupboard door too…I am imagining it already…thanks so much for that insightful comment Catherine…

I take photos from about one ft. away from the paintings, so you are able to see them quite well, just as if you were seeing them in real life..this one will be going to the framers very soon, and I hope they have the right style of frame…something very rustic is what I have in mind to match the texture…I already have a buyer for it, but I kind of want it for myself, as it suits my sun room perfectly…I’m glad you like it…thanks so much Karin…

But this was my actual plan… to start with the hardware only and then move into the textures of wood and metal etc…Door #7 above, typifies the kind of textured work that I have been known for over the years and besides food, is what I love to paint best…I had not planned to post them initially, they are meant for something else…but here they are….
On RB, because I am selling to a vast arena with different preferences, I have done many different series, so that there is something to match everyones tastes…e.g. there are people who are crazy for the food images and don’t care about doors, those who love my Tropics and never look at anything else and those who love only my dark symbolic images…
So it will always be a mixture of a lot of different subjects, but I think from now on you will see a lot more of this type of painting, as I work towards the show…
