This is so wonderful! I do have a thing for dragonflies, i photograph them a lot.

no, no photography here yet – i need a really good scanner for starter as i shoot slides, and i’m waiting for giclee prints, i won’t put out photography prints till they have it.

What a great effect the linen gives Janis! I saw a wonderful painting which was a finalist in our ‘Archibald Prize’ (that is our most prestigious Portrait Prize worth thousands of dollars and attracts artists from all over Australia) and it was painted on a ‘wool bale’ (package used for storing wool during shearing) and I have never forgotten it! It was absolutely out of this world stunning, and the technique used in this painting remind me of it. Did you get giclee prints done?

Oh, Janis. This is just so beautiful. I love how creative you are and you continually produce some of the most lovely works. I would love to live closer so that I could come and take some of your classes and you could join our artisan’s group.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this work, Janis!! This is just so beautiful. Exquisite colours and warmth. I can almost hear the insects and birds singing along with the flight of the dragonflies.
