as the leaves fall.
when the barricade sets in,
and when the blinds close themselves,
that’s when the colors shift,
and feelings drift,
to a place we don’t know.
to a dream we no longer recognize,
as it screams for second and third tries.
Turn around.
you won’t see me.
won’t hear me.
won’t touch me or feel me.
but I’m still there,
reaching out to you.
