Tropics..Bamboo Night

Bamboo Night is Part of the new “Tropics” Collection...

Watercolour on Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Paper..

The aura of bamboo grove by night is charming to behold,
The moon peeks thru the leaves painting the grove in silhouette and silvery shadows,
The trees resonate with the heartbeat of romance,
Each knot feels like the ladder to advance to the higher level of ecstasy of love

The bamboo plants bend and sway during windy days,
shows how to be strong and flexible in stormy days.
It is the idol of survival in tough and blistery weather,
It graciously gives way to sprouts to prosper in its withering days

Janis..your colours are just spectacular ..you just keep getting better and better with this amazing work that you do..seriously the colours are wonderful..you’re a very talented lady!

  • Janis Zroback replied

I paint in all kinds of styles Catherine..this colourful one harks back to paintings I did in the past, (you can see them on my early pages here), but then later on, I toned down the colour a bit….now I’ve put it back again….
However, tomorrow you might see something totally grey or sepia or black and white…it depends on the series I’m painting and my mood…
I’m glad you like my current genre, and hope you will still like my work, even if I suddenly decide to drop all the colour and do only charcoal or something… :)))

Wow splendid color and composition. I was reading your comment to Catherine Walker, and it is uimaginable to me that you would forsake color and become a “charcoal” artist! lol. I am sure you would succeed at anything you decided to do… but just can’t visualize a Janis can’t visualize your abandoning color for any length of time….
