I really like to portray an aspect of the whole rather than give the viewer everything…the viewer can then come to the piece with their own feelings and emotions….if I give them everything, then there’s nothing left for them to add…

It is dark within the forest, but as the sun hits the snow the whole area is illuminated! Wonderful interpretation!

Yes it’s at the edge where the forest meets the fields, and it’s new snow, so only a studio painter like myself could paint it without sullying the snow with boots or skis.. :))...thanks Joanne…glad you like it.
