Watercolour on Arches Not Paper…
The sun rose on fields
snow blown and misted
ghostly swirls and dervishes.
No fog this..
for fog simply lies.
No…this was living
as it arched and twisted,
fingering out to the road
and reaching for me
like the shade of a beloved friend.
There was white inside,
trying to seep out of pores,
I felt it strain
trying to mesh and meld
with this sentient wraith
fingers touching
joining
and suddenly
I am the morning mist
dancing in the crystal air...Poetry Road..

Thank you so much Alison…this was how cold it looked in Buffalo N.Y. yesterday…saw it on T.V. and did the painting…so named it “Yesterday”...here we had snow, but not so bad…however it will come very soon.

Cobalt blue framed naked trees
At dawn this morn as I stood in the breeze.
Then violet and pink spread all about
And, above, white and powder feathered throughout.
Then, as I stood and watched with wonder
An iridescent line of gold held me under
The spell of nature, as that familiar ball
Rose quietly, brightly over all.

I’m glad you like it Karon..it’s not even quite dry yet, but I do want to post winter as it’s happening…parts of New York state got blasted yesterday and we’re not far away, so we got some of it…

I like to paint my landscapes in the Impressionistic style, and a snow storm is the perfect subject for this…it hit on Sunday night in New York and I could not resist doing the first one this year…thank you so much Linda…

stunning winterish, beautiful bluish, even we think blue=cold, i feel somehow warmth, we usually say “every thing to that observes”, but those tree and that greenise behind, clues of little yellowish, does something. (to me)
