beautiful work Janis and a great song, one of my favourites that we have here at home….I can see texture on this one and it does not look like watercolour as your colours are so vibrant – how do you do that I wonder as I really like the effect it gives

The practice as a decorative painter and fine arts painter means I often cross over the skills…I bend all the rules….I used masking fluid here, erasing and rubbing out, as some of the techniques….thanks Linda…a million layers later…this is the result..

I had the song in my head and thinking of all the ways it could be done, masked, then threw some sea salt at it…that worked…

Thank you Joanne…it was symbiosis…I wanted to do a picture of the song and I already had an older painting, so I did a new one based on the same drawing, but to evoke the feelings expressed in the song…I used lots of different blues and greens…...
