Dinner Tonight...Corn on the Cob...

Dinner Tonight is “Corn on the Cob” part of the “Food” Series….
Watercolour on Arches 140lb Not Paper….painted in classic watercolour style negatively, and abstract, suggesting the subject matter rather than expressing it realistically...Janis
Just before cooking, husk the corn, pull off the silky threads, and cut out any blemishes with a pointed knife. Drop the corn into a large pot filled with boiling salted water. Cover the pot and let the water return to a boil again, then turn off the heat and keep the pot covered. After about 5 minutes, remove enough ears for a first serving. You can keep the remaining corn warm in the water for another 10 minutes without its becoming tough. Serve with lots of butter and salt.
Dinner Tonight...Corn on the Cob... belongs to the following groups:
Abstract Realism, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, AW Welcome Center, Bits and Pieces , Happy Haven, In the Pink, Latin-Caribbean Art, Live, Love, Dream, The Patchwork and Tropical ArtAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

I truly love the traditional watercolors style, even though it’s been a while since I’ve done anything that could be classed in that style. I really like your choice of colors, not only in this work but your other as well. Well done Janis.

What a beautiful stylistic watercolour artwork, Janis, as always, i like your vibrant colours.

Thank you Jim…
I’m really pleased that you find so much to like in my work…I try to do quite a range of styles and genres here, in an effort to give the different viewers something that will resonate with them…however on my website, you will find a body of work in a recognizable style, something that is required by Gallerists, and these works are sold as originals..
