Fresh Lemonade...

“Fresh Lemonade” is part of the “Citrus” Series…

Today the temperature will reach 30c without the humidex….perfect for lemonade made with lemons and limes…here shown on a glass plate ready for turning into a delicious drink…

Watercolour and Pen and Ink on Arches Paper..

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
Lemon and lime slices
DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 1/2 cups of water over moderately high heat; stir to dissolve the sugar. Just before the mixture comes to a boil, remove from the heat. Stir in 3 1/4 cups of cold water, then pour into a pitcher. Stir in the lemon and lime juices and refrigerate. Serve in tall glasses over ice, garnished with mint leaves, and lemon and lime slices.
