IT IS ALSO A CHALLENGE WINNER…FUN WITH WATER IN WORKS ON PAPER
Foamy tides, like snow-drifts, lingering;
A battalion of plum trees silently blooming;
A bottle of wine
And a fishing line;
Who in this world is my equal?
The oar rips apart the spring water
On which the leaf-like boat is floating.
A tiny hook dangles
At the end of a silk cord.
The islet is covered with blossoms
And my jug is full of wine.
Upon these thousand acres of waves there is freedom...Li Yu Ci

You have not been coming through my watchlist, I will have to put you back on, sorry for the neglect. love and hugsxxx

I paint in so many different series and styles….these Chinese paintings are done in inks and paler colours…you will find earlier paintings than this one with bright colours as well…I go back and forth…. it is true that my latest ones are more of the vivid colour series than this is…but the winter will see some paler ones coming up.
I’m so pleased you like it Hilary,...there are quite a few of them throughout my pages…thank you for coming over to comment.

Simply gorgeous! Such relaxed talent you have! Each stroke flows, bringing the scene to serene pleasure!
Janis Zroback replied
In Chinese Brush Painting, it essential to be relaxed, almost meditative when you paint otherwise it won’t be successful…I have some how-to articles on it in my writing and journal pages…it’s so nice to see that you like it…thanks so much..
Janis Zroback
joyousmoon
So very true, it takes a meditative state of mindfulness to work with the flow of the texture papers as well as the fluid paints and inks. I work often on a special handmade recycled paper purchased privately. Sometimes it is a little more difficult and is not what I had wanted, but most times the flow is great.
Janis Zroback replied
Painting is wonderful…everyone should try it at least once in their lives…it is good for the soul…
Colin Cartwright
