do you choose fire

do you choose fire belongs to the following groups:

The Red Writing Room

When your lighter runs out of fluid, staring into space
(flick) grinding skin against metal that won’t…
react. You recall an easy spark. Sudden heat.
You laugh at what reminds you… instruments of heart strings.

Do you remember me?

There’s a sudden concern
realizing all that excites is the chance to…
(tell) Reveal sweets enticing me
to ears that can’t hear… sensation-less fingers
explore an outline, inside this apparent desert…
pouring rain.

What if you said…

Mattering can be so…
(light) translucent
aside the abundance of your
silent declarations. What I choose not to
hear. Loud as bombs.

Maybe we might be…

Stronger. Your sharp eyes see…
steps (away) back to the
understanding there’s…
(more.) More than the idea of
me. More than clock ticks and…

… what if’s.

I am trying to temper my reactive impulses to let my emotions spark for it has repercussion me thinks that if I had looked more deeply at what is me and will that be nourished in the flame or get a little crispy ;) .... some frying pans hold their heat much longer than others…. I like the disjointed nature of this. The asides create a manic feeling for me, an intense contention.

oh! – What I choose not to hear. Loud as bombs.
i know how that song goes. but, nevertheless, i would choose the fire every time! I have the scars to prove it :) because nothing reminds you that you’re alive like burning – and what is love anyway if it doesn’t involve the flames?
