“He did not stop, my dear. He could no longer keep feeding you.
He needed to find the love within himself before the well ran dry.
Just as you need to fill yourself with self love, so does he,” she was reminded.
She held a mirror in front of her. The mirror revealed her sad face so she forced a smile.
“It is no good,” she sighed. “I cannot pretend to be happy.”
“Then don’t,” she was told. “Instead, feel the unhappiness and allow those who love you to comfort you until you feel the love they have for you. You gave so much of yourself away and now you wonder why there is nothing left inside you. Silly girl, if you do not love yourself then allow the love to come from others until you are full again. That is your strength when you think you are weak.”
Through eyes that had turned red and stinging, she looked again into the mirror. She looked deeply into her own eyes.
“I know I am in there ….” she said, “somewhere!”
“Indeed you are. And by the way, I love you.”

Please remember also that we are the only ones who can make us happy. No one else can do that. But they can share in our happiness which much nicer than keeping it to ourselves!
