Lenape Nation
A friend from the Lenape Nation called me today. I had not spoken to him in a couple years. Talking to him today brought me back to Mother’s Rock, a place where the Lenape people once lived and grew herbs for medicine. On this mountain there is a hidden medicine wheel which the tribe used for many purposes. I learned from my friend, Paul “Tobacco” Cashman that they used the medicine wheel to tell the time of day. This was new information for me.
There is a gentleman named Jim Beer who is a musician and spokes person for the local Lenape community. His music tells a story of a nation of peace and a unity with every culture on earth.

Not so much where we have been, but where we are going.
Not so much what we have seen, but what we have missed.
Not so much what we have said, but what we have left unsaid.
Not so much have we stood against, but what we have stood for.
Not so much might what we are, but what might we be.
Not so much what we have done, but what more can we do.

Jan, you do me the honor. I remember when we first talked, you wanted to know more. It is that spirit in you that wanted more knowledge that has closed the gap even more in a nation of many people. When that gap can be closed all over the world and we can act as one and be as one …. then we will know that our highest self has been found. I have seen that in you, Jan. You are my dear and wonderful friend. Wanisihi.
