Booleroo North Abandoned Homestead after Moonset by

15 km East of Melrose, South Australia.
Homestead illuminated by torchlight.
Our Milky Way Galaxy plane visible above the right of the Homestead around the constellation of Crux (the Southern Cross), and the constellation Corvus (the Crow) above the left side.

South Australian photographer and image manipulator who specialises in rural night imagery.
I’m particularly attracted to photographing oceanic coastline in moonlight and framing our Milky way Galaxy with terrestrial landforms and objects such as the old homestead ruins that are littered throughout the South Australian countryside. I have grown to love photographically documenting the decay of isolated household facades and set them amongst change more timeless and ethereal.

Enlarged, one sees a very moving image representing dashed hopes of long ago. Another failure on “the margins of the good Earth” of South Australia. The vast night sky and the galaxy point up the puniness of human endeavours. I’m in full flight here, Pablo! I love your picture.

  • I love your comment especially – “The vast night sky and the galaxy point up the puniness of human endeavours” This is one of the reasons why I took up night potography. So glad you see it. Thank you Bette
