Down the Lane Today . . .

Had this photo of my daughter and it just needed the right words to go with it – hope this hits the mark

Down the Lane Today . . . belongs to the following groups:

Art and Stories Made For Children and Childhood

As I wander down the lane today
I hope to find some friends to play
The sun is out so I can’t see why
I’d be all alone under this blue sky
I’ve brought my ball and skipping rope
I’ll get to play with both I hope
We could just play catch or skip around
Or venture into more imaginative ground
This ball’s a jewel you’re trying to steal
“You’ll never get it” I will squeal
After we’ve chased each other all around
I’ll catch my thief and tie them up on the ground
With that game played, what do you say
We find more games to play down the lane today?
