A tornado touches down briefly in Dorothy and Toto’s world (Kansas/Oklahoma border) in June 2010. I processed this as a high contrast photo to give it a more foreboding effect. ~South Haven, Kansas

Needless to say, I was shaking when I snapped off the first few shots as this twister was only a mile from us… I managed to calm down when I realized it was heading east and not toward us, and then I snapped off a few pics where it wasn’t fuzzy. LOL Now I’m rather looking forward to my next opportunity.

    Yeah this is how many of us (I think) Having Kansas in mind, sniff…
    Wonderful Bold Nature picture. Thanks for showing here.
    In Holland it doesn’t much shows this type of weather, but this week we got our portion (in the East of Holland) too.
    Many holiday caravans where blown away and many big trees where fallind down.
    Even some Electric wire poles where down, whch wasn’t happen sofar here.
