A teacher in adult vocational education for most of my working life, my limited spare time has revolved around house renovations, family, renovations, travel and renovations. After working as a part-time wedding and restaurant photographer (to earn my way through university!), and then a long absence, it’s been great to pick up a camera again and experience all the emotions that photography brings. The biggest hurdle is catching up with the shift from 35mm to digital technology. Thankfully I have two teenage children to tutor me!
Starting with a cheap but reliable Practika SLR, I am now wading through all the literature, trying to decide on the ‘right’ DSLR for me. Shame there isn’t a Practika DSLR!!
UPDATE: Just purchased a Nikon D60 with a variety of lenses. In seventh heaven!
