I wanted to get a view of the surrounding country side, so I climbed up to the top of the headland at Red Rock. What a great 360 degree view. There were two German couples watching the whales in the distance, a beautiful sunset was developing behind me and the mighty ocean was pounding the red rocks below me. But this lady sitting alone in the middle of the beach captured my attention. We can only speculate where she was….

In amongst all the paths travelled sits a lonely figure in the late afternoon. Her shadow casts an almost perfect diagonal through the frame and even though she is surrounded by detail, she is still isolated. Great shot.
