I’ve pulled my drawings ( Art Teachers Conversion Course, 1969-71) down drom the cupboard. They’re not in good condition.
Obviously I drew him in the life-drawing class (in the Old Sydney Tech, where some of these models had a little radiator near their feet, to try to keep them a little bit warm).
Where I copied her from I don’t know (any more). Suspect it was from a How To Draw The Figure book or something.
Here we go again: …… It was pointed out to me, at one stage, during the course, that the proportions of the person I was painting were all wrong. That I needed to think where the parts of the body were, under the clothes, to make them fall the way they should.
I wasn’t a naturist, then. :)
I’ve just scanned the two together. Once I saw it on the screen of my computer, I noticed that she’s now trying to get his attention, with her foot. :)
There’s probably a story in that.
(She’s gone a bit spotty, through the years. Happens to the best of us!)
