Bob Reed is a friend of mine. Got to know him, in about 1997. I’d been on a trip to the Netherlands and had had a most interesting time but had come back, showing distinct sign of stress. Bob listened to me and coaxed me out of the granny flat and on to Cobblers Beach, a lot.
Bob has collected an interesting number of paintings, over the years.
He is a particular admirer of the work of Jules Michel, who spent a few years in Australia and whose friendship with Pro Hart had its interesting aspects.
From his window, Bob has a beautiful view of Fairlight Bay and of the entrance to Sydney Harbour, but still, interesting paintings on the wall can only improve the ambience!
Bob is intrigued by the technique used by Jules Michel, in his paintings. The way the paintings are brought to life.
A view towards the entrance to of-course the most beautiful harbour in the world and some very interesting paintings! What more could one want?
Well. Sinnce 1997, I’ve lost count of the number of great lunches and cups of coffee I’ve had there …..and then there’s the view…… the paintings….Cina…..but that’s another story!
