Artist's Description

My mother appreciated the garden. There was nothing here when they bought the house from another family. The lady (My mother had known her mother in Gouda.) and her family had not been into gardening.
I planted stuff all over the place!

I lived here for a while too.

Then bought a house in Nambucca Heads but did not get a transfer to the area.
Then sold that house, when I met my ex-wife.
We are good friends and have great kids.

I bought a unit (flat/apartment, opposite the beach, at Lake South.
My mother’s Alzheimers grew worse. I sold and moved into the granny flat.

For a while, my mother still loved the garden. Then she got worse. Day care and then Casa Mia_, the nursing home.

Now my father is in a nursing home: "_Waratah
? Or some nice name like that.
Not likely to return to his chair, by the window, endlessly watching the t.v..

These flowers grow on the wrong side of the house. Nobody ever sees them, except me, when I go to wheel the garbage bins out, on Wednesdays.

I know! I know! I’ve been advised by several people – move into the house. Settle in.
