Was a song that was top of the pops, in the Netherlands, just as I returned there, for the first time, in December 1969.
Like so many co-incidences, it seemed so appropriate. I had developed a theory that girls (and boys) with red hair had that extra bit of spark. I wasn’t Robinson Crusoe, in believing that. That song should have been my theme song/ signature tune!
The Nay sisters, who came to Bob Potter’s Ballroom Dancing Studio, helped that theory along. Many years later I couldn’t believe it when I took a bus tour (The economy one) through the U.K. and Ireland, I couldn’t believe my luck, walking down the main street of Dublin.

This is excellent! My sister also has red hair, wasn’t always easy in school…. Great to hear that you like it so much ;) A pity that the singer from the song died a few weeks ago.
