see The Sarika Archworks for the beginning of this exhibit tour of the artifacts found during the first phase of the Sarika archeological dig on Satashi. and the journal entry The Museum Exhibit of the Sarika Artifacts
NOTE BELOW EXHIBIT:
Here is another of the many Sarika shawls that were found on Satashi. It is thought that thousands of different types of shawls exist each indicating the purpose and status of the wearer. The meaning of this one is still undiscovered. Hopefully the Sarikanica will eventually be fully translated and studied and our understanding of the symbolism in the Sarika works will be understood.
As with all the work of the Sarika notice the detail, depth, texture and symmetry of the work. We have yet to unravel all the symbolism used. The Sarikanica is still being studied and there is hope that soon more insights will be found.
