One of five tapestries from the land of LorEstain that owlspook has collected in her travels.

The people LorEstain and the other lands that owlspook has visited tend to weave their dreams and prophecy into their tapestries.

The meaning is not always apparent to the casual viewer. It has been said that only those who take the time to study them can find meaning and that meaning is very personal to the seeker .. no one sees the same.

It has also been said there is magic in these tapestries … very powerful magic … however only a very few are able to wield it.

Look deep within the recesses… the cubbyholes… what do you see?

Work done in Gimp with pattern work in Kaleider. Best viewed large.

Wow, Owl, you obviously made a good impression! The LorEstainians treasure these beautiful tapestries and rarely show them to outsiders. They are indeed powerful magic; very deep and with many layers of meaning. Guard them carefully!

  • they are safe .. magical treasure indeed protected by strong magic too … the LorEstainians do not part with their tapestries easily and certainly not to just anyone … guess I must have made a good impression .. (grin/smile) … pleased that you stopped by to take a look at my collection … do spend all the time you wish viewing them … but be careful .. you may see more than you care to see ….

I certainly wouldn’t mind having these on the floor!!! very pretty!!!

  • very old and magical tapestries really shouldn’t be used as floor coverings … the LorEstain people would consider that sacrilege …. however if it were possible and non-offending to anyone I sure wouldn’t mind either … (grin/smile) …. thanks Daisy … (big smile) …

Your whole Lorestain series is SO reminiscent of some of the better rugs of the Baluchi (I’m a collector). The palette and the general forms are just right. Great renders, Owl!!!

  • I am so honored that my work is reminiscent of their gorgeous rugs … the only rugs I ever really researched were ones of the Navajo … I just did a little googling and got lost in the amount of material on the Baluchi and their rug weaving .. thank you for sending me off on a very interesting tangent (smile) … I enjoy pattern making and so wished before and still that I could magically turn my work into rugs and fabric … at least I can do it virtually (grin) … I am always very pleased when others enjoy my work er play (smile) … thank you so much .. you have made my morning shine (big smile) …
