My First Flowers of Spring Series

I was playing with my new toy, XenoDream .. just starting out with few tutorials under my belt and had rendered a flower object. I added lighting and saved.. then decided to see if I could change the lighting and save as a new image .. well guess what it worked! ... I was so thrilled I spend a bunch of time doing just that going through all the lighting presets saving about 50 of the newly lighted images. It sure tickled my wing feathers on how different each lighting setting would change the image .. . have a look-see and let me know that you think of the lighting effects or XenoDream in general …

if you wish to comment on a specific image, please do so by visiting the gallery page with larger version … just click on the image… that way you’ll get to better see the detail and texture in them.

hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoyed designing them.

Great Collection ~ your have made some wonderful Images with XenoDream ~ I must have a look at it again. Baby Blue and Glitter and Glow do it for me! ~ well done!

  • owlspook replied

thank you Peaches (big smile) .. yes you should … make sure you go through the tutorials .. they’ll help with the basics … the object/shape that I rendered and applied the different lightings to is very simple and easy to construct … I think you’ll have a lot of fun playing with it (big smile)

Xxxs to you too Owl. =) =) You are welcome. Your art should be respected and viewed, loved and marveled at. Not many can go pick up a new program and (seems like) ten minutes later you are already making master pieces that could take others years to master. =)

  • owlspook replied

ah shucks Cheyenne you’re too nice (blush) ... and it was many hours more than ten minutes to set the record straight (grin) ... and the tutorials helped a lot (smile) ... and .. I’m only a beginner lol … (grin) ... hugs (big smile)

Well you do wonderful for a beginner. I tend to learn hands on, like with GIMP I’m just now learning other neat things!! =) You are very much welcome. We’ll just keep the “many hours” a S-E-C-R-E-T.
    And thank you! I’m blush too. =) =) =)

  • owlspook replied

lol … truth be told I play around with the program first, then read the manual, do the tutorials, and then play around some more (big grin) ... sometimes the programs are so new or complex the docs/tuts are a big big help (big smile)

Like the way you collected them all! Gives me an idea, what if you cropped each one into a square, then pushed them together edge to edge like quilt squares all in one image, you could move the individuals around to your satisfaction, easily if you have a grid snap option… just a thought!

  • owlspook replied

hmmm well worked easy the way I did it .. used the ”|” (html to do tables) ... that way I can at least have the names with them .. or am I missing your point?

You arranged them to show here just great! My suggestion was not “instead of” what you’re showing us, but to make another piece of art combining all of them, like you’d make a quilt of squares, since they look so nice gathered here together!

  • owlspook replied

ooo sorry I missread your comment (blush) ... ya that could be done .. I’ll play with it in a bit and see what it looks like … thanks syd (big smile)
