woooeee thank you Robin! ... it too me a long time to do this one .. it was very pixel messy .. I removed the background and ll the stray pixels I could … one at a time … I’m very pleased on how it came out .. it’s not perfect but at the size and resolution it should be aok … pleased you like it too (big smile)

Just popped back in here and had to run right over. Beautiful. Looks like a fabric.

  • owlspook replied

(big smile) thank you Fran! took me hours to design and clean this one up .. it had a messy background and a lot of strays pixels .. still not perfect but I’m proud of it (big smile) ... I used a texture effect called ‘clothify’ in gimp .. it’s one of my favorite textures to use … (big smile)

Very nice, my first impression is wood inlay, but I’m thinking about wood a lot more these days anyway!

  • owlspook replied

so how is your workshop doing these days (big smile) ... I never did get around to playing with the sticks to make birdhouses (on my very long todo list (grin)) ...
    .
I think tapestry, fabric and sometimes stained glass .. oh and tiles and and and .. (big grin) .. really mainly fabrics (smile) ... thank you syd … you always send my creative mind on little journeys (big smile) ..

  • Scott Bricker

    Scott Bricker

yeah, I agree with Syd, reminds me of inlay, too…looks great!...don’t ya just hate those stray pixels…

  • owlspook replied

I can see that yes … would be gorgeous … but with the weather as it is here this early in the year a lap blanket sounds so much better lol …. I’m a bit of perfectionist when it comes to my work .. it has to really look good to me .. and those stray pixels get my feather all fluffed .. I usually clean them up in a negative color image .. don’t need thirteen shades of black when one would do (grin) ... especially when they end up all in the wrong places (grin) ... yup I hate ‘um (grin)

  • Bunny Clarke

    Bunny Clarke

Awesome creation and work. I agree, this would make a great wood pattern for a floor. WOW!

  • owlspook replied

(big smile) now all we need is someone who does this kind of work in wood … ooo it sure would be cool (smile) ... I’d settle for a lap blanket (big smile)
