owlspook replied
hi chuck .. long time no see (smile) .... I did try to do something fantastic for the holiday .. think I hit the mark? (smile) ... did you know that Pasja in Polish means Passion? you know me … hard time thinking titles .. think this one fits … doing my shawl series I always remember my mother’s mother we called her Busha .. short for Babuska which in Polish and Russion mean both scarf/shawl and grandmother because the grandmothers always wore a scarf/shawl over their head and tied under their chin … so very very pleased you enjoy this work of mine and happy you stopped by for a visit … thank you (big smile)

Oh wow, I like this one. Fantastic work. How do you know what Pasja is my friend?
owlspook replied
lol … my mother’s parents were polish and kashub (slav ethnic group in poland) and they spoke polish and kashubian (smiliar to polish but not the same) and remembering a little I checked for sure by googling (grin) ... curious .. why do you ask? ....
pleased you enjoy my work Teresa thank you (big smile)

and I wish so much I could turn these shawls into the real thing You could…screenprinter could copy the art onto silk for you…with gren & black tassles around bottom hem…would look great…I’d buy one :)
owlspook replied
hehe forgotten about silk screening … ya it could be done but I’d love a POD site that would do it from a png file (big grin) ... like the designing not the mess of doing it (grin) ... did find a site .. did I tell you about it? spoonflower.com … a POD but they do cotton right now (not bad would be ok) but they want LAB Tiff files and no program I have can do them (no PS here nor money for PS either) ... they are growing and someday hope to do silk … perhaps some day I can try them and then maybe I’ll have my shawls (big smile) .. course if you wanted to do the silk screening we might have be able to work something out (grin) ... but then again is screen printing different than silk screening?
Rosalie Scanlon
Great work of Art, beautiful design and colors….outstanding!!!!
owlspook replied
(beaming smile) thank you Rosalie! couldn’t you see a real shawl with this pattern? ... many think silk but even a good grade of cotton would be nice …. maybe some day (smile) ... so happy you like this shawl .. I’m especially proud of it (smile)
Rosalie Scanlon
It would make a beautiful shawl
owlspook replied

Congratulations on being featured in

I know spoonflower.com am a member for material designs…you can also upload jpeg there…I do…maybe I better check that site out again…I might have done wrong but am sure they said ok to upload jpeg or tiff files…the LAB tiff has something to do with their printers colour system. Silk screening is basically same as screenprinting…I don’t do silk screening myself…would get someone else to do it but as you said…lots of fiddling around…easier if can be done by company already established on net and just load up the file…most likely is one somewhere in cyberspace…google it…never know :))
owlspook replied
I’ll just have to take another look at spoonflower … I do remember they do take jpeg’s but there was so much talk about color shifting and if I remember correctly no way to tell if it didn’t look good unless one bought a piece to check it out … I’ll check it out again .. thanks for the encouragement (big smile) ... and I’ll google around and see what comes up for silkprinting/screening too … (smile) .. ya, ya never know (smile)
C J Lewis
Hey…congratulations on the feature too…just noticed that enormous banner…good one :))))
