During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

wow! beautiful butterfly! I like the color on his belley. the flower seems to reflect on it. still very hot this week here but summer is fading. we feel it. nights are really colder

  • So happy you noticed the flower’s reflection! I too was curious about that color so I looked for other images of this Painted Lady and, lo and behold, on a yellow flower… a yellow belly! So I just uploaded this view, special for you Manon! Thank You!

What a beautiful shot…I love those Painted Ladies…!!!!

  • Thank you Lorraine. I never really noticed them until recently and now, every garden I pass seems to have at least one Painted Lady fluttering about. ;-)

    stunning

  • Thank you Luda! There’s a small garden where Paul lives that I like to wander through when I’m there. Luckily, butterflies like it too! But unfortunately, mosquitoes like it too and I got eaten… even more than I did at the sunflower farm. Oh well, got my pictures so I’m happy!
