During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

Sylvia…I love this…I so would love to capture the city this way…I’m trying to figure where you are in order to get to moon in this shot…obviously not no the sea side!!! love it!

  • Someday I hope to saunter to the waterfront to catch a full moon “hatching” from the sea. But for this city view, it’s actually pretty easy. Just head to Memorial Drive between the Longfellow and Mass Ave bridges. The tricky part is that each month, it rises from a slightly different spot so you’re not quite sure which buildings it will squeeze by or be hidden by until it’s high enough to make it’s journey over Back Bay. For this one, I was closer to the Longfellow. Last fall, the best vantage point was closer to Mass Ave. But anywhere between the two, you’ll get lovely views of Boston and reflections in the Charles. Hope that helps! ;-)

    Beautifully captured

  • Many Thanks Jean. I always enjoy this vantage point of Back Bay and in this one, particularly like that the Hancock and Pru are taller than the moon is high.
