During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

    nice shot xx

  • Thank you Lynn. I think it’s an OK shot, but I love the scene. So I kept trying different textures until I found layers of drama that fit how I see and feel it. How nice you like it now too. ;-)

This is so beautiful Sybia …

  • So glad you like how this turned out. Though it looks like fall, I took this in January, captivated by the cattails and glow in the water. But it was a dreary winter day so the picture just sat on my computer until I found the right textures to bring my memories back to life in classic light and mood. Thank you Lorraine!

Beautifully captured Love the editing you have done

  • Thank You Jean! I love the place, the cattails and the simplicity of the scene. But it was few weeks ago – dreary snowless January day – so untouched image was dull compared to my memory. Luckily… along comes Photoshop and some layers to add the drama I felt. So pleased you like how it turned out. …Sylvia

    Love the textures

  • Many Thanks John! Liked this view for a while but the skies were a bit lifeless. When I stumbled on this texture, it came back to life for me. So glad you like how it turned out.
