On Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, the brilliance of sun meets endless curves of sand. It’s an eternal friendship that defines the landscape… a shadow dance set to the simple rhythms of desert wind.

During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

I would love to photograph something like that!!! Lorraine

  • I know just the place for you… Travel far and wide, leave all worldly thoughts behind, drift with a desert wind until you land atop a silent dune of sand, untouched by the footprints of man… Skeleton Coast is a magical place. You’d love it Lorraine, promise!!! ;-)

You know…no word of a lie…I’ve been dreaming of going on a Safari since childhood…that would be awesome.!!!! L

  • We’re so different that way. It never occurred to me growing up to go on safari or even “commune with nature.” But then, I did. Now it’s ALL I dream of. So beware, it’s an addictive dream but oh-so well worth striving and returning for!!!

  • Many thanks Joanne. in every direction, the Skeleton Coast landscape spread these shapes and shades before us. Was such a pleasure getting to experience and now share it’s magic. Thanks for your comments… let’s me relive the magic all over again! ;-)
