The moon is made of green cheese by

March 19 2011 I watch the Super Moon rise over my parents home in Florida. It casts ethereal light over the lawn my Dad used to mow and overlooks the overgrown trees he started as young saplings. As it surveys the home of my childhood, it playfully tosses down magic light to my camera just as Dad would toss out stories that filled a child’s mind with wonder.

It took a Super Moon’s reflection to prove that Dad was right after all… the Moon is made of green cheese.

During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

I like how the reflection turned out :)

  • Thank you John. Greatly appreciate hearing you liked this. Not my usual type of shot. Just goofing around the backyard in the dark for fun. So was a great treat to find the gift the moonlight left for me in my camera! I just love being reminded why I’m so fascinated and captured by photography!
