A bat-eared fox (Otocyon megalotis) pauses from an incessant hunt for bugs in the dry grass of Namibia’s Etosha National Park. Insects make up 80% of this canid’s diet. With the savanna of Africa as a home and ears perfectly adapted for detecting the slightest rustle in the grass, he’s likely to stay well fed.
