If you’re familiar with yoga, I do believe he’s attempting plow pose. True, not the best posture but since his arms and legs are proportionally shorter than ours, he’s doing his polar bear best.

This character in white fur has more poses in the calendar Yoga Bear where this is January’s image. You can also find all images of this guy, by using this link to Yoga Bear images.

Shot using: Canon EOS 300D (original Digital Rebel) with Canon EF75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM lens
And yes, both survived and performed even as temps dipped to -22F/-30C degrees!

During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

    Amazing capture!

  • Thank you Jan. I’m actually working on several images of this guy for a calendar I hope to post shortly. Was going to keep the pictures hidden/private until I had them all done but looks like this one got away from me! I’m surprise but so pleased you found him!
P.S. Your work is absolutely beautiful. Love the colors. And I’m jealous that you live in Perth. Took one trip to Western Australia in wildflower season back in the days of film. Breathtaking sights. I hope to be back some day with my more modern digital camera.

Well, I can say the same about America. Visited few times but would like to go back, maybe for one day to capture Northern Lights ;) (Too cold for longer stay in winter :-))). I am going north for wildflowers in few weeks, hope to see some. Waiting for more shots of this gymnast, Regards.

  • Thanks again, Jan. And I will be looking forward to your shots of wildflower country in the weeks to come!
