The view across the Charles River from Boston’s Back Bay is dominated by MIT’s Green Building, the tallest building in Cambridge. When I took this photograph September 11 2011, its windows had been “hacked” to display the US flag and commemorate the 10th anniversary of the World Trade Center and Pentagon bombings. On April 15 2013, this flag waved again in tribute to that day’s victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Sadly, 3 nights later MIT Police Officer Sean Collier was shot and killed by the bombers. I post this image now in his memory and the memory of all victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
All proceeds from sales of Boston Strong images will be donated to The One Fund “to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston on April 15, 2013.”
