Early spring finds branches still leafless, marsh waters empty of reeds and grasses. But with days growing longer and the sun arcing higher in the sky, migrant birds are on the scene, fish are jumping, bugs are buzzing and bullfrogs chorusing, filling the air at Great Meadows with all the sounds and vibrance of Springtime.

The World As We See It Or as we missed it April 12 2013

During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

Beautiful image Sylvia! Glad to see your snow melted.

  • Thank you so much Kent! Spring is slow coming but it’s quite welcome after the snows of this past winter.

Yes, we’re getting there! Beautiful scene, Sylvia.

  • Thank you Sheila! Sadly, just as the trees are readying to pop in Boston, I head out to spend time with family for a few. But at least I got to Great Meadows and caught early spring first. The color and promise of Spring is intoxicating… enjoy some for me, OK? ;-)
