Yoga Bear - Calendar for how to play in the snow by

Along the shores of Hudson Bay in Canada, there sits Cape Churchill. A special point of land where polar bears gather, waiting for temperatures to drop and once again freeze the open sea. Without platforms of sea ice, bears can’t hunt so they must patiently wait on shore until winter returns. But this particular bear wasn’t about to sit idly by doing nothing. There was a good blanket of snow everywhere and he likes snow. It’s the perfect practice mat for some fun and relaxation, Yoga Bear style.

50% of the profits from my Cape Churchill photography is donated to Polar Bears International.

During an unexpected chance to experience Africa, a seed was planted. Nurtured by subsequent forays into wild places, this photographer was born.

Jacques Cousteau said “People protect what they love.” And we’ve all heard that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So, enough with this. My photography says the rest. Thanks for listening.

Amazing, looks like he was aware and was posing for this calendar ;) Great selection Sylvia!

  • It was quite a show he put on. And the longer he went, the more we laughed. I tend to agree with you. Not only did he seem aware of us as but the more we laughed and enjoyed his antics, the more he seemed to perform! A great time was had by all!!! ;-)

absoliutely a great calendar ,well done I love polar bears too Liz

  • Thank you very much. I first fell in love with Nature in Africa. But there is something so very special about looking into the eyes of a wild polar bear as he or she looks right back at you. It touches your soul and makes your heart sing…
