On a Cuzco to Puno (Lake Titicaca) trip by a Peru Rail the train stops at La Raya pass which is its the highest point at 4,313 m (14,150 ft), and there is an exquisite view over all the plains to the snowcapped mountains of the Andean plateau. There, you can find many vendors who are selling local products in a small market by a church which is at the place.
