Titicaca is the highest (3,812 m) navigable lake in the world. The Uros Islands are vast floating artificial islands made from the totora reeds. There are more than 40 communities on these islands, where the Uros people live in reed huts and they fish and travel in boats woven from reeds.

Lovely image! You’ve really captured the feel of this place, it seems so out-of-this-world – almost like that “Waterworld” movie. Their lifestyle must be fascinating!
It’s an amazing place at the top of the world (3,812 m)! Thanks a lot Damienne!

Beautiful shot Konstantinos! I remember, when I made a boat (in a boat of reed of course) trip on Lake Titicaca, I was impressed by the silence!
Thank you very much Anne-Marie!
