This Buddhist temple is one of the monuments of the world-famous Kathmandu Valley (World Heritage Site) and one of the most popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. The temple is also known as the «Monkey Temple», after the large tribe of monkeys that guards the area and amuses visitors and devotees.
