Partnered

Came from viewing Barssel’s My other Passion

Partnered belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Everyday Life and WMG

Authentic and real,
Rugged and tested
Tired and tattered,
this is the feel
Washed down and rubbed
Put in for the night
Can’t wait till tomorrow
As so, this is our life
Partnered for ever
Care comes from each
where ever we are
for you I search
Your eye’s show me
soul and temperament too
But when I’m alone
I am looking for you…

This is quite a sweet poem, quite intimate. Easily readable, rolls through well. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reading and your comment

The image that inspired it is up on the description. There is a bond formed between a rider and a horse that none compares too. It is quite intimate yes

I know exactly what you mean O…although I spent most of the summers riding bareback. Saddles and such were reserved for those winter months when the hair was thick and the mud and dirt stubborn to the brush.

When I think of that bond, of being one, it is when it was just he and I and nothing in between. The best is when we went swimming. He loved the water….strange, but he did. Now that is a sensation I have never been able to describe accuratey. Talk about a special moment….damn….I miss him so much. Don’t worry though, these are happy tears. Thanks O, really, these are good memories…so truly….thank you.

I hope you saw the image too JC Well worn and experienced shows the description I was after. They search for you (and you for them) all the time when not together. Always seeking the comrade re, as your aware.

Exactly! We have sold “Miki”. But the basement has an area, full of tack and memories.

Thank You, I have to credit Barsell’s image for the inspiration. The feeling of reliance on one another for comfort, need and companionship.
