Amish Elder sharing Words of Wisdom by

Words of Wisdom
Location: Amish Country, Ohio USA
I was so lucky to capture this very special moment between these two Amish men sitting on a bench in front of the small town gas station.
I would have loved to have known what they were talking about, as they were so engrossed in the conversation, that life went on all around them, yet their attention never wandered from the words that they shared.

    Great work, Marcia. :)

  • Thank you so much Jen :-) I worked SO hard on the post processing of this photo. I totally obsessed on the facial lines, veins on the arms/hands, and the wrinkles in their clothing. I spent an easy three hours on this. I think it’s one of my personal favorites actually. I would have loved to have heard what the older man was saying to the younger man. I also love the “conflict” of the "old world Amish lifestyle with the modern bottle of coke in the older mans hands.
