Mahalo dearest Bela, we were blessed with a golden sunset on Christmas day. We have had so much rain you would not believe it!! Maui is absolutely soggy right now! It is wonderful! The streams are flowing and there are rainbows in all directions!

You know, when I was taking these shots I was thinking of you sweetheart! I look forward to you returning to the island!
Jacob and I enjoyed such a beautiful Christmas day. We were in Lahaina for most of the day having arrived early, around 0700 as some of his work is displayed in the gallery and we had a wonderful luau. And then around 3 in the afternoon we left and drove to Ahihi Kinau, wandered about at Makena Landing and then on to Kihei as the sun was setting. It was a treat to enjoy a golden sunset on the beach as we have had so much blessed rain. This evening we were shopping in Kahului and this enormous deep dark storm cloud swept in from the ocean casting the island into darkness. I was enjoying the colourful reflections from the traffic and lights in the wet pavement. As we drove up the mountain there was island wide lightning and thunder!! As we arrived in Makawao it was raining so hard I could hardly see the road!! And now all is quiet and so still….. Imagine that.
