“It was an awesome experience for me to be there to give my haku lei to Madame Pele before returning to Maui. While I was there I was doing the photography for The Merrie Monarch festival in Hilo (Hula competition). Before leaving the Big Island I had all these leis and I decided to give them to Pele up on Halema’uma’u Crater before coming home. During that time it was just an awesome experience for me to give this gift and I had the max of chicken skin ;) but I was happy I did that. Mahalo nui Brah!”
