“What is homing? It is the instinct to return, to go to the place we remember. It is the ability to find, whether in dark or in daylight, one’s home place. We all know how to return home. No matter how long it’s been, we find our way. we go through the night, over strange land, through tribes of strangers, without maps and asking of the odd personages we meet along the road, “What is the way?”
The exact answer to “Where is home?” is more complex…. but in some way it is an eternal place, a place somewhere in time rather than space, where a woman feels of one piece. Home is where a thought or feeling can be sustained instead of being interrupted or torn away from us because something else is demanding our time and attention. And through the ages women have found myriad ways to have this, make this for themselves, even when their duties and chores were endless.” an excerpt from Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

‘Ae, I see what you mean! It looks fantastic! Mahalo darling girl, I am so happy you love my image!! Thank you Karon!! I took this shot in the lovely Tropical Gardens of Maui near O’Iao Valley West Maui. It was a beautiful cloudy overcast day and very humid. I was battling mosquitos all day as I was wandering through the beautiful botanical gardens in search of orchids. And when I saw this particular palm, I love how the roots appear at it’s base and the wonderful textures and colours of the fruits. I am thrilled you enjoy it! Thank you so much sweetheart! Sharon
the time is not correct as i did not get a chance to do this right away ~ but within the last 3 days.

Thank you sweetheart! It is so wonderful when we are online at the same time! I have about five windows open, here, WS and personal email…. I am also watching one of our ohana (family) geneology chants on YouTube, it is fantastic!! Have a listen! This is Jacob’s family history, and I am completely intrigued with the wonderful video. The person who created it devoted much time and research into this.
