Classic 1951 Belfast Corporation bus. Coachwork by Harkness coachworks, Belfast. Built on a Guy Arab III chassis, and displaying the no 59 which went from the City Hall, up the lisburn road to the Kings Hall and now these days would go as far as Finaghy. the fare was probably about a penny 1d or ‘tuppence’ 2d. Smokers on the top deck and prams and ‘expecting’ ladies downstairs.
