haha great capture, wish I could capture my squirrel thief who keeps stealing the fat balls off my bird feeder! :))
Ouch ..sounds painful… brings the tears to my eyes just thinking about it! lol .. only kiddin’!..We have crows that fly off with them in their beaks for the family lunch!
I love the composition, Steve! Puts it all in perspective.
Thanks Sheila. I could have removed the cars in the corner and done all sorts of things , but i settled for just a little cropping and leaving it natural. There are multible local species of finches and other small birds using those feeders and a flashy cock pheasant who wanders in from time to time. Usual wood pigeon and collared doves (unseen in Ireland 50 years ago) . There were two ‘wild’ hen pheasants feeding just below at that moment as well. There is a ‘brown country rat’ as well who has been about for a while with no relatives … he/she’s maybe gone through a divorce or something and decided he/she ‘vants to be alone’! The young grey squirral is one of two who get to feed when the parents let them. They aren’t really natives of Co Antrim or indeed of the British Isles, ours is the the little red squirral , sadly diminishing in numbers, but still occupy another residence not too far away from me in Co Down. Mountstewart.
I love that house in Cullybackey.
THIS IS STUNNING !!!!
I thank you Guenda , very kind. :-)
The little Devil!!!!Testing you…will come back with whole family if the portrait is good!xx
