Allister Seeley no 34 of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, riding for the Relentless Suzuki, Tas team won from Cameron Donald, no 86 of Australia, riding for the Wilson Craig Racing team, with Bruce Annsty no 5 of New Zealand, Padget Honda, in third.
A wind and rain swept day saw Irelands premier sporting event, abandoned, not just because of the weather, but also the numbskulls who called a bomb hoax in the paddock area. Just as the event was getting under way ..sod struck again… with Ryan Farquars sump deciding to spread a two mile oil slick around the 82 year old 8 mile triangular course. After much froing and tooing and lots of ado by the oranisers and the hard working support team .. it was called off.
